OUR STORY

(Since 1824) The Agnew family were among the first settlers to farm in Boardman Township with over 180 years of farming and business under their belts. Today Agnew Lawn and Garden formerly Agnew Farm Equipment is intertwined with the residential and commercial lawn and garden equipment market. The business still being operated by the Agnew family is perhaps one of the oldest family run businesses in the State.

Incorporating in 1939 and starting a dealership for (International) farm machinery, ditching and construction equipment. Then with Boardman Township's changing face in the late 50's & early 60's from a farming community to a bedroom community and shopping center Agnew's turned to the lawn and garden industry. Over the years the store's inventory and display items have evolved from large farm machinery to today's modern zero-turn mower's and outdoor power equipment.

The business from its inception is located at 7700 Market Street, Boardman. In 1996 the family constructed a new facility with 15,000 s.f. of space for its show room, parts, service and warehousing. It maintains a well-stocked parts-department employing 2 full time staff. A service manager, and five full-time mechanics two of which maintain manufactures certifications.
